Robbery victim may have been set up

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. — A Parkersburg teenager was arrested Friday night after allegedly robbing a man at the Erickson Sports Facility.

Richard Miller, II, is charged with first degree robbery.

Officers charged Richard Patrick Miller, II, 18, of Parkersburg, with first degree robbery after he allegedly approached the passenger side of a car and ordered James Little of Mineral Wells out of the vehicle. Little told police he had a met a woman he knew there and was in her car when Miller arrived. He allegedly stole cash and a cell phone. Little said Miller had a gun.

Police said Miller then got into the car and the woman drove him away from the scene. Police caught up with them a few minutes later. Miller was charged and investigators said additional arrests are probable.

Miller is being held without bail.
