Kanawha County bank robber on the run

ELKVIEW, W.Va. — The search continues for the man who robbed a bank in Kanawha County on Thursday afternoon. No one was hurt in the robbery that happened at about 1:30 p.m. at the Chase Bank in Elkview.

Deputies with the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Department said the white man produced a pistol and demanded money from a bank teller.

Even though deputies arrived within a minute of the call from the bank’s alarm system, the suspect was able to get away with cash in a gold or beige Chevrolet Malibu.

The suspect was said to be wearing a mask, blue shirt and blue hat. He was between 5’9″ and 6′ tall.
