GLENVILLE, W.Va. — Two Gilmer County women are dead after a car wreck on Route 5 in Gilmer County on Wednesday.

State Police identified the two victims as Brenda Stump, 49, of Glenville, and Misty Tomblin, 34, of Glenville.

Troopers said a witness saw Stump’s SUV cross the center line on Route 5 on Wednesday and slam into Tomblin’s SUV. Investigators said Stump was not wearing a seatbelt. According to reports, Tomblin was wearing a seatbelt.

There were no passengers in either of their vehicles.

    If Brenda hadn't been speeding, and doing whatever it was that caused her to be distracted, Misty would still be here!

      I dont know if Stump was speeding or not. It was 55 thru there where they got killed, lets assume they were both going 45mph and they hit head on, according to the G Force mathematically speaking that is like 90mph hitting a wall, over 2000lbs g force on the body. It doesnt matter, airbags, seat belts they was no chance of survival.

      jenny, brenda stump is my aunt and she wasnt speeding she drove excellent she couldve had one of her seizers they are doing investagation on the wreck and accidents happen so stop running ur mouth for no dam reason none of my familly run our mouths about misty so keep urs off my aunt it was an accident
