Two killed in Gilmer County wreck

GLENVILLE, W.Va. — Two Gilmer County women are dead after a car wreck on Route 5 in Gilmer County on Wednesday.

State Police identified the two victims as Brenda Stump, 49, of Glenville, and Misty Tomblin, 34, of Glenville.

Troopers said a witness saw Stump’s SUV cross the center line on Route 5 on Wednesday and slam into Tomblin’s SUV. Investigators said Stump was not wearing a seatbelt. According to reports, Tomblin was wearing a seatbelt.

There were no passengers in either of their vehicles.
