One more week for the Saints in West Virginia

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. — The past few months have been busy at The Greenbrier Resort — so busy that Jeff Kmiec, president and managing director for The Greenbrier, says the White Sulphur Springs facility could be having its best summer ever.

“Obviously, the notoriety of the PGA Tour event, we’re still riding that halo effect, now the (New Orleans) Saints and the media coverage that we’re receiving from holding the training camp here, it’s just been off the charts fantastic,” Kmiec said.

He said, with the summer influx, The Greenbrier is “sustainable” in the revenue sense. “One of our mission statements is for sustainability and continuous improvement,” Kmiec explained.

“So with things like the Saints facility and the rest of the things that we’re planning on announcing later this month, you’ll understand that the Resort continues to expand and grow and that’s a great position to be in in the resort industry right now.”

After a preseason game against the St. Louis Rams on Friday night in Missouri, members of the New Orleans Saints will return to Greenbrier County Sunday for a final week of practices at The Greenbrier Resort’s Advocare Sports Performance Facility.

Kmiec said the camp, which officially started back on July 25, has put a spotlight on the entire Mountain State.

“It’s meant incredible exposure. It’s meant incredible opportunities for the Saints to realize how special West Virginia is,” he said. “You can hear it in their interviews. You can see it on their posts on Twitter and Facebook that they’re genuinely enjoying their time here.”

All of the practices are open to the public. The remaining practice schedule is as follows:
