More details released in shooting outside of Wees Annex Building in Elkins

ELKINS, W. Va. — The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed a Monday morning shooting in the Home Plus parking lot adjacent to the Wees Annex Building in Elkins.

A press release from the office states one round was fired, resulting in a serious, self-inflicted injury to a man.

He was taken by Randolph County EMS to Davis Health Center and then onto Ruby Memorial.

According to officials, no other subjects were injured and the case is believed to be domestic related.

More information on the incident and the man’s condition will be available as the investigation continues.
