Wolfe enters agreement with ethics panel

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Former Cabell County sheriff and  Huntington Mayor Kim Wolfe has entered an agreement with the state Ethics Commission to resolve potential charges against him while Wolfe was sheriff from 2001-2008 and mayor from 2009-2013.

Wolfe denies most of the complaints named in the commission’s findings of fact but he did admit to two violations in the conciliation agreement released Monday.

In 2008, while Wolfe was sheriff, he had his mayoral campaign symbol imprinted on bills of Cabell County taxpayers. Wolfe also admitted to accepting tickets to Cincinnati Reds games from a bank doing business with Cabell County.

Wolfe and the Ethics Commission have agreed to a $1,500 fine, public reprimand and ethics training.
