Shooting death in Mason County; troopers seek man for questioning

LETART, W.Va. — State Police are looking for a man they want to question in connection with a shooting death in Mason County.

State Police say Charles Anderson should be considered armed and dangerous.

Kathy Anderson’s body was found inside a residence on Backwaters Drive in Letart Wednesday afternoon. Troopers found Anderson, 54, when making a welfare check for family members.

State Police spokesman Lt. Michael Baylous said troopers are looking for her husband, Charles Anderson, for questioning. The 57-year-old Anderson may be driving a 2008 grey Chevrolet Silverado Extended Cab, with West Virginia Registration OHX-820.

Baylous said Anderson should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact their nearest State Police detachment.
