Concord looks to tell story

ATHENS, W.Va. — Concord University hopes to take advantage of an opportunity this week to tell its story.

Concord Advancement Office spokesperson Sarah Turner said they will make a special effort Tuesday to have faculty, students and coaches available to tell of the things happening at the Athens school.

“This is for them to be able to showcase what’s going on in their department, their division and the new exciting programs that we do have,” she said.

Dr. Kendra Boggess is Concord’s new president. Her inauguration ceremony is scheduled for Sept. 20.

Turner said she’s looking forward to Tuesday’s media day.

“We know there are a lot of great things that have been going on and we want to have that opportunity to share those stories and share them in a wide area,” she said.
