Milton firefighter injured in crash

MILTON, W.Va. — A Milton volunteer firefighter was being treated for injuries Friday evening suffered after he wrecked a firetruck Friday afternoon. 

The Milton VFD truck was totaled in the crash.

Police said the accident happened on Glenwood Road near Milton at just before 2 p.m. when the firefighter was returning to the station from a morning fire scene.

The truck overturned and was declared a total loss. The firefighter was bleeding at the scene when emergency crews arrived.
