Sexual assault reported on Marshall campus

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — The Marshall University Police Department alerted students Friday a sexual assault had been reported.

The department learned about the alleged assault Thursday. It reportedly happened Aug. 20, move-in day on campus, at Twin Towers East residence hall.

Students were notified by email Friday.

An investigation is underway.
