CLARKSBURG, W. Va. — The preliminary hearing for the founder and executive director of Miracle Meadows School will be rescheduled.
Susan Gayle Clark was scheduled to appear in Harrison County on Tuesday before Magistrate Judge Frank DeMarco, but the hearing was continued.
A future date has not been scheduled at this time.
On August 22, Clark was arrested and arraigned on two counts of failure to report, one count of obstruction of a law enforcement officer and two felony counts of child neglect resulting in injury.
The charges come from allegations she violated a court order by having eight students — who had been removed from Miracle Meadows in Salem by court order the week prior– at her own Ritchie County home.
The children were removed after an investigation began at the school after employee, Timothy Aaron Arrington, 36, of Salem, was arrested and charged with child abuse for allegedly choking one of the students to the point of unconsciousness in June.
Arrington’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 9 at 9:30 a.m. before Magistrate Judge Warren Davis.
