Woman killed in Kanawha County I-79 Crash

BIG CHIMNEY, W.Va. — A woman was killed in a traffic accident Wednesday morning on Interstate 79 in Kanawha County.

Emergency authorities said the victim lost control in the southbound lanes near Big Chimney. The vehicle rolled over ejecting her. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The wreck was reported at 8:57 a.m.

It was the second deadly accident this week in Kanawha County where the victim was not wearing a seat belt. A Logan County man was killed in a rollover wreck Tuesday on Interstate 77 near Sissonville.
