Parkersburg police investigating death that followed alleged domestic dispute

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. — A man allegedly involved in a domestic dispute in Parkersburg last week died Tuesday according to the Parkersburg Police Department.

Investigators said Paul Dewayne Blosser, 38, of Parkersburg, suffered serious injuries after falling twice last Friday near 501 32nd Street. They had responded to the scene after Blosser’s girlfriend called 911 and reported a domestic dispute with Blosser. She said he was drunk, had hit her and had taken her purse.

Police said a neighbor saw Blosser stumble and fall twice as he ran from the residence, the second time was face first into a concrete pad. Investigators said he never regained consciousness and was taken off life support Tuesday at Camden Clark Medical Center.

Investigators are awaiting an autopsy report.
