Accident in Barbour County results in 17-year-old’s death

PHILIPPI, W. Va. — The Barbour County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an accident which resulted in a fatality.

According to officials, the accident occurred Monday night around 10:30 p.m. on Pike Street.

A 17-year-old was pronounced dead while another juvenile involved was transported to the hospital.

The investigation is ongoing. No further information is available at this time.
