MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Satisfied with his team’s performance through halftime, West Virginia coach Dana Holgorsen didn’t see enough winning moments thereafter.
The coach said a 45-33 loss to No. 4 Oklahoma came down to the final 30 minutes when “we came out and got beat on all three sides of the ball.”
West Virginia (2-2, 0-1 Big 12) owned a 513 to 510 edge in total offense but couldn’t keep pace on the scoreboard against the Sooners (4-0, 1-0).
“They made a bunch of plays in the second half when the game was on the line,” said Holgorsen, whose complete postgame news conference can be seen above.
