MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Even with a coaching staff in flux and a team cast as 25-point underdogs, Kansas could give West Virginia a game on Saturday.
At least, that’s Dana Holgorsen’s approach.
“I doubt they’re going to be very scared of us based on what happened last year,” he said.
The emotional state of the Jayhawks (2-2, 0-1) remains an X factor as defensive coordinator Clint Bowen takes over this week for the fired Charlie Weis. West Virginia, meanwhile, presumes to be hungry for revenge after last season’s 31-19 loss in Lawrence provided a humbling low point.
