More than 100 dogs seized from Jackson home

SANDYVILLE, W.Va. — More than 100 dogs were taken from the home of a Jackson County woman Wednesday evening.

Sheriff’s deputies said most the 135 dogs were small breeds. The woman, who is a breeder, had six kennels in one room with about 20 dogs in each kennel.

Many of the dogs have health issues.

No charges had been filed by Wednesday night but deputies said charges were likely

The dogs were taken to the Jackson County Animal Shelter.
