Bridgeport defense continues to dominate with 42-14 win over Elkins

ELKINS, W.Va. — Bridgeport (5-1) picked up its fifth win on the year Thursday night, knocking off Elkins (1-4) 42-14. The Indians put up 357 rushing yards on the night, led by Mitchell Winkie who tallied 88 yards on four carries and scored two touchdowns.

Elijah Drummond added 81 yards and a touchdown, while Zack Spurlock tallied 69 yards and two touchdowns. Bridgeport played the game without standout Dante Bonamico and lost running back Dylan Tonkery in the first quarter due to sore ribs.

The Indians’ defense continues to dominate, holding Elkins to just 181 offensive yards.
