Jefferson High student killed in bicycle wreck

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. — The investigation continues in Jefferson County where a student at Jefferson High School was killed when a car hit the bicycle he was riding on Thursday afternoon.

Deputies with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department identified the victim as Gabe Bauserman, 15. He was hit around 3:30 p.m. along Gardners Lane, a narrow road, in Shepherdstown.

Initial reports from investigators indicated another Jefferson County High School student was driving the car that struck Bauserman.

No charges had been filed in connection with the accident as of Friday morning.
