MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Class AAA No. 5 University (7-1) picked up a solid win over No. 10 Lewis County (6-2) 16-7. The Hawks scored 16 unanswered points in the win as senior kicker Holden Talton finished with three field goals in the win (27 yards, 22 yards and 37 yards).

The lone touchdown for University in the win came from quarterback quarterback Jeremy Eckels to Tristan Lucas from 30 yards out. Lucas finished with five catches on the night for the Hawks in the win.

“We took this as a playoff game and had a playoff atmosphere,” Lucas said. “We really needed this win because it’s the difference in maybe a 2nd, 3rd or 4th seed if we can win out these remaining two games.”
