Harrison County quadruple homicide suspect’s trial delayed

CLARKSBURG, W. Va. — The trial of a man accused in a 2013 quadruple homicide has been delayed until next year.

Sidney Arthur Muller

Sidney Arthur Muller, 28, is accused of killing Christoper Hart and Todd Amos at a home on Locust Ave. in Clarksburg during July 2013, while trying to collect a $10,000 drug debt for pills he had provided. He then shot and killed Freddy and Fred Swiger, a father and son who were delivering newspapers on their normal route, outside of the home.

Muller’s trial was scheduled to being the week of November 10. However, after an agreement between the defense and prosecution for a delay, the trial will now begin in April 2015.

Important forensic and other evidence in the case has not yet been returned, prompting the postponement.

The final pretrial hearing for Muller is now scheduled for March and the trial is now scheduled to begin on April 13th and is expected to run two weeks.
