Marion County man sentenced to prison for federal drug crimes

A 24-year-old man from Fairmont will serve time in prison for his involvement in the distribution of crack cocaine.

Desean Aaron was sentenced to 41 months by U.S. District Judge Irene M. Keeley after he pleaded guilty to one count of aiding and abetting the distribution of cocaine base in April.

The charges came after an investigation by the Three Rivers Drug Task Force.

Aaron, who is currently incarcerated at the North Central Regional Jail in Greenwood, will be given credit for time served since February.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Zelda Wesley prosecuted the case on behalf of the government.
