Police presence to pick up at Kanawha County high school

QUINCY, W.Va. — Kanawha County School Superintendent Ron Duerring says police officers will be at Riverside High School Tuesday after word spread about a possible threat Monday.

Duerring said in an email to WSAZ-TV the threat was connected to a student bringing a gun to school. He said police know the student, are investigating and following protocol.

Parents of Riverside High students were given the information on a robo call that came from the school board office Monday.
