Wayne County sheriff’s house burns down; investigation underway

LAVALETTE, W.Va. — The state fire marshal is investigating a Friday night blaze that destroyed the residence of Wayne County Sheriff Greg Farley.

A firefighter suffered a minor injury in battling the fire on Camp Creek Road.

Investigators initially said the cause of the fire is undetermined but an investigation is underway.
