Philadelphia to Morgantown heroin, pill pipeline busted

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — U.S. Attorney Bill Ihlenfeld and several law enforcement agencies announced charges against 21 people Friday in a heroin and prescription painkiller pipeline form Philadelphia to Morgantown.

Ihlenfeld unveiled a 65-count federal indictment and information about the arrests of 13 defendants at a news conference at State Police headquarters in Morgantown.

Ihlenfeld called the case “one of the largest drug investigations in recent memory in this region. Heroin and opioid painkillers are the number one problem for law enforcement in northern West Virginia.”

Addressing the media, State Police Captain James Merrill said “It’s easy for drug dealers to target small towns, but investigative techniques kept them from making it a permanent operation.” 

Those arrested Friday include:

Juwan Robert Woods, also known as “Whiz,” 31, of Philadelphia.

Qaaim Clark, also known as, “Q,” 34, of Philadelphia.

Keevus Weeks, also known as “Shake,” 31, of Philadelphia,

William Montague, III, also known as “Will,” 24, of Darby, Pa.

Kalif Briggs, also known as “Boo,” 32, of Upper Darby, Pa.

Loren Delaney, also known as “Lo,” 23, of Morgantown.

Keyara Peters, also known as “KP,” 21, of Rivesville.

Britany Wodzinski, 24, of Buckhannon.

Ryan Buckland, 28, of Morgantown.

Jessie Marie Fox, 22, of Mill Creek.

Robert Wyatt Michael, 24, of Fairmont.

Tara Dustin, 23, of Morgantown.

Timothy Charles Burnette, 45, of Morgantown.

Eight have not yet been located, including:

Raheem Cuffee, also known as “Heem,” 30, of Philadelphia.

Brett Ehrhardt, 28, of Morgantown.

Alexander Benzel, 28, of Morgantown.

Terri Shuttlesworth, 24, unknown address

Erik Jones, 27, of Morgantown.

Alicia Tavagilone, 21, of Morgantown.

Ryan Brooks, 28, of Morgantown, West Virginia.

An unidentified individual known only as “Shadow.”
