CLARKSBURG, W. Va. — After making threats against the President of the United State, a Harrison County man has been convicted and sentenced in federal court.
Timothy Boram, 64, of Nutter Fort pleaded guilty Monday and was sentenced to five months in prison with credit served since July on one count of making threats against the president of the United States.
In June 2014, while being treated at the VA Medical Center in Clarksburg Boram called 911 and made a threat against the President of the United States.
Boram, who has a history of such threats, will also serve three years of supervised release with the first five months on home detention with electronic monitoring.
The VA Medical Center Police and the United States Secret Service investigated the case.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Shawn Morgan prosecuted the case on behalf of the government, while U.S. District Judge Irene M. Keeley presided.
