MINERVA, Ohio — A freshman manager for the WVU women’s basketball team was killed in a weekend car crash near her hometown.

Aliyia Hancock, 19, was riding in a car that collided with a school bus around 9 a.m. on Saturday during a freezing rainstorm. The driver over the car, Savannah Russell, 16, and another passenger, Storm Angione, 19, were also killed in the crash.

Police said Russell lost control of the car on an ice-covered U.S. 30 and struck the school bus. All three girls were pronounced dead at the scene.
