Fire marshal: Thanksgiving warehouse fire was arson

POCA, W.Va. — The state Fire Marshal says a fire in Poca Thanksgiving morning that damaged a business was the work of an arsonist.

The blaze tore through Lewis-Goetz on Harris Drive. The critical hose, sealing and belting business is located in a warehouse along with Tyler Mountain Water and Ashley Furniture, but neither one of those businesses sustained major damage in the blaze.

A $5,000 reward is being offered by the state Fire Marshal’s Office for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.

The state Arson Hotline can be reached at 1-800-233-3473.
