Suspect in Fayette County robberies arrested

OAK HILL, W. Va. — A second suspect wanted in a series of robberies in Fayette County has turned himself in.

Nathan Eugene Pennington, 27, of Oak Hill surrendered Wednesday afternoon after learning of warrants for his arrest, according to Sheriff Steve Kessler.

Before showing up to the Sheriff’s Office, he was allegedly responsible for a series of thefts and burglaries in the Oak Hill area, along with Erik Smith.

Smith was arrested late Tuesday afternoon.

The thefts remain under investigation by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department.

PenningtonĀ was arraigned in the Magistrate Court of Fayette County and remanded to the Southern Regional Jail in lieu of $35,000 bond. His bond in connection with another pending charge was revoked.
