Mingo manufacturer announces layoffs

HOLDEN, W.Va. — A Mingo County manufacturer plans to layoff nearly four dozen workers at the beginning the year.

Unilin Flooring, which operates a hardwood flooring plant near Holden, has informed 47 workers they will be furloughed Jan. 1. The company said the decision is based on the current demand for its products.

The plant is located in the Buck Harless Wood Products Industrial Park. There are currently approximately 180 workers at the facility.
