Morgantown bank robbed; investigation underway

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — A Morgantown bank was robbed Friday afternoon.

Morgantown police say this man robbed the BB&T branch on Chestnut Ridge Road Friday afternoon.

Police said a man entered the BB&T branch on Chestnut Ridge Road at about 1:30. He let the teller know he had a gun and demanded money. He got cash and ran from the scene.

The suspect is described as a white man, 25-30 years of age, wearing a gray jacket.

No injuries were reported at the scene of the crime.
