After weeks-long investigation, Harrison County man arrested on arson charges

MEADOWBROOK, W. Va. — A weeks-long investigation by State Police led to the arrest of a Harrison County man on charges related to arson.

Leroy Allen Williams, 26, of Meadowbrook, is alleged to have set fire to a Shinnston residence on December 29 after the victim reported the incident in person to Troopers at the Bridgeport detachment, showing visible burn injuries.

The ensuing investigation with the help of the state Fire Marshall’s Office led to search warrants against the main suspect, Williams, on Monday.

He is charged with two counts of arson related to the burning of a dwelling and causing injury, and is being held in North Central Regional Jail.
