ST. MARYS, W.Va. — Police said a man was struck and killed Wednesday night on Route 2 in the Pleasants County town.
Police Chief Bill Stull said Daniel Carsner, 57, attempted to cross the darkened four-lane highway around 7 p.m. He was struck by a pickup truck traveling north.
Carsner died at the scene.
As police continued their investigation into the accident, no charges have been filed against the driver.
