School superintendent’s resignation accepted

NEW MARTINSVILLE, W.Va. — The Wetzel County Board of Education accepted the resignation Tuesday night of school Superintendent Dennis Albright.

Albright was arrested late last week in Charleston and charged with engaging in prostitution. Police allege Albright had arranged a visit with an undercover Charleston police officer. He was one of six men arrested in the sting.

The Wetzel County BOE accepted the resignation in Tuesday night’s meeting and swore in Robert Yeager as interim superintendent
