ELKINS, W. Va. — Two men are in custody while police search for two others wanted for their involvement with a drive-by shooting in Elkins Tuesday night.
According to the Elkins Police Chief Steve Richards, Emanuel N. Martinez attempted to fire upon a vehicle, containing a woman and her 2-year-old daughter, from a vehicle driven by Juan Sanchez Garcia, 29, at approximately 8 p.m. near the intersection of 11th Street and South Henry.
After viewing surveillance video from taken from around the area, authorities were able to locate Martinez and Garcia at a mobile home along Leading Creek Road in Montrose.
Reportedly, at the residence, pills, drug paraphernalia, cash and stolen firearms were seized by the police.
There is currently no known motive for the drive by shooting.
Both are charged with Attempted Homicide and are being held at Tygarts Valley Regional Jail.
Authorities are also searching for two individuals believed to be accessories to the crime. Warrants for Attempted Homicide have been issued for Francisco Xjavier Nunez and James Sanchez.
