Harrison County fire results in transport to West Penn Burn Center

CLARKSBURG, W. Va. –– Crews responded to a fire in Clarksburg Thursday evening that resulted in one individual being transported to the West Penn Burn Center in Pittsburgh.

According to officials, the fire began roughly around 6 p.m. at the residence on Tyler Avenue with one person initially trapped on the second floor.

Two people were transported away from the scene by the Harrison County Emergency Squad, with the second individual taken to United Hospital Center.

Their identities and conditions are unknown at this time.

The cause of the fire is not believed to be suspicious, but the investigation is ongoing.
