More record-setting cold in West Virginia

WHEELING, W.Va. — Northern West Virginia had some of the coldest temperatures in the state Tuesday morning.

The National Weather Service said it was -14 in Weirton and Burton, -10 in Terra Alta, -7 in Wheeling and -3 in Morgantown. The Wheeling and Morgantown readings will new records.

Parkersburg also hit a new record low at zero degrees. The old record was 1 degree in 1963.
