CLARKSBURG, W. Va. — A co-defendant in an illegal prescription pain killer distribution ring that involved the former mayor of Bridgeport has received her sentence.

Davis, along with her daughter April and former Bridgeport Mayor Mario Blount were arrested June 3 for conspiring over the last three years to distribute oxycodone and oxymorphone for non-legitimate medical purposes.

Davis is scheduled to report to prison on April 10.

Blount pleaded guilty in September to one count of Conspiracy to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Substance, one count of False or Fraudulent Material Omissions and one count of Distribution of Oxymorphone.

He was sentenced in February to three years and will self-report to FCI Morgantown within the month of March.

April Davis received five years of probation after entering a guilty plea to Aiding and Abetting Possession of Controlled Substances Through Fraud.
