Harrison County quadruple homicide trial again delayed

CLARKSBURG, W. Va. — The trial of a man accused in a 2013 Harrison County quadruple homicide has once again been delayed.

Sidney Muller

At a pretrial hearing Friday morning, Judge Thomas Bedell granted the continuance sought by the state while expert witness reports are finalized in the case of Sidney Arthur Muller.

Muller, 28, is accused of killing Christoper Hart and Todd Amos at a home on Locust Ave. in Clarksburg during July 2013, while allegedly trying to collect a $10,000 debt for pills he had provided.

He then allegedly shot and killed Freddy and Fred Swiger, a father and son who were delivering newspapers on their normal route, outside of the home when they came to the scene.

Muller’s trial was set to begin November 10, but was then then pushed back to April 13 and is now expected to run two weeks, beginning August 17.

A pretrial hearing has be scheduled for July 31.
