CRANBERRY, W.Va. — The state Fire Marshal’s Office hasn’t determined what caused a deadly fire Sunday morning in Raleigh County.
A man, 40, was pronounced dead at Raleigh General Hospital on Cranberry Drive in Cranberry. The blaze was reported at shortly after 8 a.m. Sunday. The victim suffered burn injuries and smoke inhalation.
The man lived in the downstairs of the house. Investigators said that’s where the fire began. The homeowner, who lived upstairs, was able to get out safely.
