CLARKSBURG, W. Va. — Four individuals were sentenced by U.S. District Judge Irene M. Keeley Thursday for drug trafficking charges.
Arthur Sean Warner, 43, of Morgantown, was sentenced to 151 months in prison for crack cocaine trafficking in Monongalia County during October. He pleaded guilty in December to one count of Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine Base following an investigation by the Mon Valley Drug and Violent Crime Task Force.
John Howard Goff, Jr., 43, and Brian Michael Barnes, 33, both of Clarksburg, each pleaded guilty in November to one count of Aiding and Abetting the Distribution of Methamphetamine.
Goff was sentenced to 30 months in prison. Barnes was sentenced to two years of probation.
Rodney Wayne Swiger, 46, of Clarksburg, pleaded guilty in November to one count of Aiding and Abetting the Distribution of Controlled Substance Analogue.
He sold bath salts known as Power X Energy Soak, which contained a controlled substance known as “a-Pyrrolidinovalerophenone” or “a-PVP.
Swiger was sentenced to two years of probation.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Greater Harrison County Drug and Violent Crime Task Force investigated Goff, Barnes and Swiger.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Zelda Wesley prosecuted Warner and Assistant U.S. Attorney Shawn Morgan prosecuted the remaining defendants on behalf of the government.
