Missing woman found, mother charged

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A woman reported missing in Kanawha County is located, but now her mother has been charged.

Hannah Jenami, 29, was reported missing from her Cross Lanes area home in Kanawha County on Friday morning. Sheriff’s Deputies spent all day Friday interviewing witnesses and looking for her. She was located late Friday night.

Deputies say she was hiding under a blanket in a bedroom closet of her mother’s home in Cross Lanes. Deputies say the mother, Goldie Jenami, 59, admitted Hannah had come to her home about 8:30 a.m. Friday and she didn’t report the information to deputies who continued with the search.

The elder Jenami was charged with a misdemeanor filing a false police report. Deputies say Ms. Jenami provided no explanation for why she failed to contact law enforcement to call off the search.
