Police make arrest in Lincoln County deadly shooting

COAL RIVER, W.Va. — State police have made an arrest following a double shooting in Lincoln County that left a woman dead and man injured early Monday morning.

Troopers said the victims were shot along Coal River Road at about 2:30 a.m. The victims were in a car that was stopped near the St. Albans Fire Department in Kanawha County. The woman was pronounced dead and the man rushed to the hospital. He was covered in blood.

Police were still on the scene in Lincoln County at 8 a.m. Monday and one arrest had been made.

More information was expected to be released later Monday.
