Marion County residents plead guilty to possessing materials used to manufacture meth

CLARKSBURG, W. Va. — Two Marion County residents have been convicted in federal court for their role in the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

Brittany Thompson, 26, and Raymond Leonard, 33, both of Fairmont, pleaded guilty Wednesday to one count of Aiding and Abetting the Possession of Material Used in the Manufacturing of Methamphetamine.

The Three Rivers Drug Task Force led the investigation revealing the two possessed the substances in October 2014.

They each face up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Shawn Morgan prosecuted the case on behalf of the government.

U.S. Magistrate Judge John S. Kaull presided.
