Police release name of South Charleston pedestrian killed

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Police have released the name of the man that was killed after being struck by a car in South Charleston Monday night.

Police say Phillip Harris was struck by the vehicle around 9 p.m. in the 4400 block of MacCorkle Avenue.

Authorities say the driver and witnesses at the scene said Harris was wearing dark clothing and ran out in front of the car. An investigation as to what happened is still ongoing.
