Milton man indicted for shots fired at Sheetz station

MILTON, W.Va. — A man was indicted Friday in connection with a shooting incident that occurred last November at a Sheetz gas station off Interstate 64 in Milton.

Police say Milton native Russell Ripley fired seven shots at a truck he believed had hit his wife. The incident started during a child custody exchange. No one was hurt, but one of the shots fired hit a car seat where a child was sitting.

Milton is charged with attempted murder and seven counts of wanton endangerment.
