Kemp Kelly named new Ravenswood football coach

RAVENSWOOD, W.Va. — Kemp Kelly, who previously served as an assistant football coach for Ravenswood, has been named the Red Devils’ new head coach.

He takes over for Mick Price who is set to retire at the end of the academic year. Price spent three seasons at the helm, combining for a 16-17 record, and two Class AA playoff appearances. Ravenswood last year advanced to the quarterfinals with a 42-41 win over No. 3 Bluefield.

Kelly spent the 2013 season as an assistant at Ripley High School under David Tennant and previously coached as an assistant at Eastern High School in Ohio.
