Second arrest made in Raleigh County murder

RALEIGH COUNTY, W.Va. — Two people are now charged with murder for allegedly running down a man with a vehicle in Raleigh County on Saturday, May 9.

Austin Redden

Austin Redden, 23, hometown unavailable, was being held in the Southern Regional Jail for his alleged role in the murder of Tommy Lambert.

He was arrested Friday.

Willis Wilson

Deputies with the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department said Lambert died after being deliberately hit with a vehicle in Besoco following a fight that involved Lambert, Redden and Willis Wilson, 28, of Princewick.

According to investigative reports, Wilson was driving and Redden was a passenger. Wilson reportedly sped up before hitting Lambert.

Wilson, who was arrested last Monday, was also behind bars at the Southern Regional Jail.
