MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Nearly a dozen University High School students scheduled to graduate Friday night picked up misdemeanor charges prior to being handed a diploma.

A group of 18 and 19-year-old seniors is accused of a prank on May 17 that left toilet paper and plastic wrap throughout the Monongalia County high school.

Friday afternoon, with the 7 p.m. commencement ceremony just hours away, Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office authorities released the names of the suspects. They include:

Robert Lynch, 18
Joshua McCormick, 19
Dylan Cole, 19
Garrett Nagy, 19
Holden Talton, 19
Zachary Johnson, 19
Zachary Sokos, 18
Jeremy Hunter, 19
Colton Sanders, 19
Benjamin Warner, 19
Jace Neville, 19

They have all been charged with trespassing and littering.

The damage was not permanent. However, investigators with the sheriff’s office said additional charges could be filed after the damages are assessed.

A Monongalia County circuit court judge issued an order to allow the students to participate in graduation activities.
